Register now: 2nd Wiesbaden Youth Conference on November 8 and 9

Young people between the ages of 13 and 17 will soon have the chance to play an active role in shaping their city! On November 8 and 9, the second Wiesbaden youth conference "Youth Happens" will take place in the Schelmengraben district center. Up to 130 young people will come together to develop ideas for the future of Wiesbaden and contribute their perspectives to local political decisions.

The Youth Conference is organized by the Office for Social Work in cooperation with many partners as a "Festival of Democracy". The two-day event offers young people the opportunity to get to grips with local political issues, learn about the structures of the city administration and develop concrete proposals for the future.

A special highlight is the presentation of the ideas developed to Lord Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende, City Councillor Dr. Patricia Becher as well as members of the City Council and employees of the city administration. The proposals are discussed together in order to develop concrete approaches for Wiesbaden .

Conference schedule:

  • Friday, November 8:
    The young people take part in exciting workshops and discussions to develop ideas and solutions. In the evening, a varied leisure program awaits with climbing, graffiti workshops and a big party with DJ. An overnight stay in the district center is also planned.
  • Saturday, November 9:
    The ideas and proposals developed are presented to city representatives and discussed together in order to develop possible courses of action for the city of Wiesbaden .

Participation in the entire event is free of charge. Registration is still possible until October 31. A few places are still available.
